Ben qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and has over 10 years’ experience as a criminal defence lawyer. Ben joined hpjv solicitors in 2013 and became a Partner in 2017.

Ben is a police station and court appointed duty solicitor. Ben has a wealth of experience in representing clients in all categories of criminal law, including motoring offences and other types of allegations such as theft, robbery, burglary, violence and murder. Ben is regularly instructed in South Wales and the South West to represent those charged with motoring offences which could result in them losing their driving licence. Such cases include trials, special reasons and exceptional hardship arguments as well as applications for the early return of a client’s driving licence.

Ben is a Solicitor – Advocate who is qualified to represent clients appearing in the Higher Courts (Criminal Proceedings) such as the crown court and the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). Indeed, Ben has successfully represented clients at trial for offences of drug trafficking, robbery, violence and motoring offences. In one notable case, Ben represented a client in Liverpool Crown Court for a multi-million pound conspiracy to supply drugs. The trial lasted more than 3 months and the client was found not guilty. Ben has also represented clients in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) and has successfully argued for a reduction in their sentences.

In his spare time, Ben enjoys playing and watching sports and holds a 3rd degree black belt in Kickboxing.
